Preheat the oven to 160 C / Gas 3. Grease or line cupcake tin.
Put flour, butter and sugar in a bowl. Mix till you achieve a lumpy mixture. Add the eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Whisk the mixture till light and fluffy. Finally, add the vanilla. Divide mixture between cupcake cases.
Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cupcakes test done when a skewer is inserted in the centre.
