    About this recipe: Smooth and creamy, this peanut butter frosting is perfect for cupcakes and chocolate cake. Kids are sure to love it!

    Ingredients
    Serves: 16 

    • 110g butter, softened
    • 250g creamy peanut butter
    • 250g icing sugar
    • 3 tablespoons milk, or as needed

    Method

    1. Place butter and peanut butter into a bowl and beat with an electric mixer. Gradually mix in icing sugar. When it starts to thicken, incorporate milk 1 tablespoon at a time until all the sugar is mixed in and the frosting is thick and spreadable. Beat until fluffy, about 3 minutes.

    Very tasty - I think its a bit too much for cupcakes though, next time i will make a hige chocolate cake as it does take over the cupcakes, really tasty though.  -  04 Mar 2013

    Amazing! I made this to put in the middle of 2 chocolate cakes. I added the milk gradually as the recipe says and ended up using about 6tbsp to get the consistency I wanted. I also seived the icing sugar so I there were no lumps. It spread just fine on the cake and tastes delicious! My butter and PB were quite soft so easy to mix. Will definitely use this again.  -  14 May 2017
