Baked bean corned beef hash

    Simple yummy corned beef hash. This is comfort food at its best, and just requires a few cheap ingredients.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 large King Edward poatoes, peeled and roughly chopped
    • 420g tin baked beans
    • 340g tin of corned beef, broke into small pieces
    • a splash of Worcester sauce
    • 50 to 75g (2 to 3 oz) grated Cheddar cheese

    1. Pre-heat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Boil and mash the potatoes, using butter or milk as desired.
    3. Pour the beans into the bottom of a large casserole dish. Place the corned beef on top of the beans ensuring even coverage. Add a splash of Worcestershire sauce and top with mash.
    4. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes. Add cheese and return for a further 15 or until the cheese melts.

    Realy like this recipe as its so simple to make and the steps are so simple anyone can make it  -  19 Mar 2015


    It was a nice change from the usual version of corned beef hash I make. Although I did make some changes. I added fried onions and garlic to the corned beef layer. I also used sweet potato instead of white, this added more nutrition and for me more flavour. Loved the layering idea though.  -  28 Jun 2017
