About this recipe:I made this dish with a sneaky sauce using vegetables, and my fussy 7 year old son who only eats potatoes ate 4 portions, honestly he could not get enough. It was quick and easy to make. We all loved it I hope you do too. Cooking times based on an AGA so you will have to keep a look out or try doubling the times.

Wash your chicken breast filets, chop in to cubes and place in a casserole dish with a small amount of water and place in the roasting oven of the aga, or place in a heated oven UNTILL they are cooked and not pink inside.
While the chicken is cooking cook the sauages, I put mine in the aga under the grill for about 20 mins UNTILL cooked, a good variation is mixing plain pork and Lincolnshire sausages.
While the meats are cooking peel and top and tail the carrots the couget and the parsnip and slice, then boil all these vegetables in the mormal way.
While the meat and the veg are cooking take the green pepper and de seed and take the can of chopped tomatoes, then using the blender jug add the tomatoes and the pepper along with the garlic.
When the veg has finished boiling and is cooked drain it in the usual way then add to the blender and blend on a high number for about 40 seconds UNTILL you are left with a thick soup like consistency sauce. Add the port or wine and add a chicken stock cube you could also add a squirt of tomatoe puree and give the jug a quick stir.
Once the meat is cooked take the sausage and slice and add this to the chicken chunks in a large bowl.
Cook the pasta as per the instructions on the packet make sure it is nicely cooked. When the pasta has finished drin off the water
add the drained pasta to the bowl of chicken and sausage then pour in the sauce not to much though just enough to coat the ingredients with out being all sloppy. Give it all a good stir, then empty the bowl in to a covered casserole dish and place in the bottom of the aga to slow cook or put in the oven and heat for about 30 a 60 mins on a slow heat.
When serving I added some grated and Parmesan cheese.
The good ness of the chicken and the pasta compliment by hidden veg that I know my boys would not eat if placed in their natural form on a plate and dished up. Remember times may vary because this is cooked on an AGA that is why there are no approximate times or heats.
