About this recipe: I have cooked this since i cooked at school and i still used this recipe to this date. With this recipie you can put any flavouring to suit your taste.

Serves: 6 

  • 250g of Rolled oats
  • 150g of Margarine
  • 100g of Sugar (Preferably brown sugar)
  • 75g of Syrup
  • 25g of each Flavouring: like Choc chips or chunks, dried fruit, coconut, chopped nuts
  • This is optional 100g of topping which could be chocolate or icing sugar

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:20min  ›  Extra time:5min cooling  ›  Ready in:30min 

  1. Prepare self and kitchen area
  2. Line tin with foil or baking paper and brush lighty with oil
  3. Put syrup, sugar and margarine in a pan and heat gently until melted and runny, stirring with a wooden spoon
  4. Stir in the remaining ingredients with the wooden spoon.
  5. Then tip the stuff onto the tin and press with the wooden spoon to make the mixture even
  6. Bake gas 4 or 180 celsius for 15-20 minutes
  7. Then after leave to cool for about 3-5 minutes or longer but before cooling cut it into pieces
  8. If you had done this, put your topping on over the flapjacks .Then with using a fish slice or whatever you got put them in a container or whatever you got and refrigerate
