Stir fried chicken with papaya

    Soft and sweet papaya with flavourful stir-fried chicken. It’s just so satisfying! You will love both the taste and texture.

    Serves: 2 

    • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • Pinch of sugar
    • Pinch of black pepper
    • 200g chicken breast, sliced
    • Oil for frying
    • 3 slices root ginger, chopped
    • 1 tablespoon rice wine
    • Pinch of salt
    • 1/2 papaya, sliced into strips

    1. Mix sesame oil, soy sauce, sugar, pepper in a bowl; mix well. Stir in sliced chicken and marinate in the fridge for at least half an hour.
    2. Heat some oil in a pan; add ginger and stir-fry until fragrant. Add chicken and continue to stir-fry for a few minutes. Add rice wine and stir-fry until the chicken is cooked. Stir in a little salt. Add papaya and cook until it becomes soft and tender. Season to taste with pepper; stir well and serve.


    Do not use too ripe a papaya or the dish will be mushy.
