Easy drizzle icing

    This is just a simple white icing that's perfect for glazing or drizzling on top of cakes or cupcakes if you are in a rush and need something quick and easy.

    Serves: 12 

    • 240g icing sugar
    • 235ml water
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    1. Combine icing sugar, water and vanilla extract in a bowl. Beat for 2 minutes until well mixed. It should be of pouring/drizzling consistency.

    This recipe was really yummy but it was also very watery which sort of disappointed me. I used lemon extract instead of vanilla cause I was making a lemon cake. I poked holes in the cakes and poured it on and the cake soaked up the glaze. It was still very taste. I just wish it was thicker.  -  25 Jun 2006  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
