Pass potatoes through a potato ricer or sieve; keep warm. Beat egg yolks, add cream. Mix with potatoes, cheese, cayenne, parsley, curry powder and seasoning. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
Heat oil for deep frying and drop mixture into hot fat from a spoon and fry till crisp and golden brown.
