75g butter, softened
40g icing sugar
75g plain flour
25g custard powder

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Lightly grease 2 baking trays.
Beat softened butter and icing sugar together in a bowl until light and fluffy. Sieve in the flour and custard powder; mix well to form a soft dough.
Divide mixture into 16 pieces; roll gently in palm of your hand to form balls. Arrange 8 balls onto each greased tray; squash each biscuit down with a floured fork.
