Angela's brownie

    The most amazing and easy chocolate brownie. Thanks Angela this is so easy and so so lovely - but if you want to mix it up a little instead of milk and white chocolate use chocolate orange.

    Serves: 8 

    • 200g unsalted butter
    • 200g dark chocolate (70 or 84%)
    • 3 or 4 eggs
    • 275g sugar
    • 40g cocoa powder
    • 85g self raising flour
    • 100g milk chocolate, chopped
    • 100g white chocolate, chopped

    1. Pre heat oven to 160 C / Gas 3.
    2. Melt the butter and dark chocolate together in a pan or double boiler.
    3. Whisk together the eggs and sugar until a milkshake consistency. Add the dark chocolate butter mixture, and whisk to combine. Stir in cocoa powder and the self raising flour.
    4. Fold in the milk chocolate and half of the white chocolate, then pour into a greased baking tray (18x25cm).
    5. Bake in the oven for 25 to 30 minutes, until there is no wobble in the middle.
    6. Heat the remainder of the white chocolate. Drizzle over the cooked brownie and leave to cool; do not cut into it until it is cold.
