About this recipe: A simple saute of prawns with loads of parsley and garlic for flavour, finished with lemon juice and white wine. Lovely served over pasta or simply with grilled crusty bread. Enjoy!


Serves: 4 

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bunch parsley, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 500g prawns, shelled
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 75ml white wine
  • salt and black pepper, to taste

  1. Heat the butter in a large frying pan. Once melted, add parsley and garlic and cook gently for 30 seconds.
  2. Add prawns to the pan and cook for 3 to 4 minutes, until pink. Add lemon juice, white wine and seasoning. Stir through for a minute or two to let the flavours combine, then serve.

Lovely dish but I thought the parsley should have been added at the end as there was no flavour left in it after cooking throughout the dish. - 14 Feb 2015


I used olive oil instead of butter and it was still great. Great for supper with family or friends. - 02 May 2015
