About this recipe: The Mr loves these cookies so much, he doesnt want Millies Cookies anymore!! Perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, perfect for all you choccie monsters out there! Easy to substitute other flavours and chocs.

Serves: 12 

  • 115g Plain Flour
  • 10g Cocoa Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Bicarbonate Of Soda
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 80g Softened Butter or Margerine
  • 150g Caster Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 2 Teaspoon Orange Flavouring
  • 1 Egg Beaten
  • 50g Chocolate Chips

Prep:15min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:1hr cooling  ›  Ready in:1hr30min 

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees/Gas Mark 3 and grease or line your baking tray
  2. Cream the butter and caster sugar together, then add the egg and mix well until light and creamy.
  3. Beat in the vanilla essence and orange flavouring
  4. In a seperate bowl, sift the flour, cocoa powder, bicarb of soda and salt all together. Next, add to your mixture bit by bit and mix well until its all in, by this time the mixture should be quite thick
  5. Add your chocolate chips and mix
  6. Use about 2 tablespoons of the dough for each cookie, roll into balls and flatten slightly on the greased baking tray so they look like cookies, make sure you have spaced them out!
  7. Bake for 15 minutes, then take out to cool slightly so they harden on the outside, before moving them onto a rack to cool properly
  8. Next step, EAT and ENJOY !
