Homemade strawberries and cream ice cream

    Homemade ice cream recipe for the ice cream maker, very rich and creamy. Makes enough for 4 individual ice cream pots. For best results, ensure all your ingredients (except the sugar) are chilled prior to use.

    Serves: 4 

    • 250g fresh strawberries, hulled
    • 100g caster sugar
    • juice 1/2 lemon
    • 100ml double cream

    Prep:15min  ›  Extra time:2hr25min freezing  ›  Ready in:2hr40min 

    1. Puree the strawberries in a blender and mix with the remaining ingredients.
    2. Turn on your ice cream maker and pour the mix through the pouring spout. Churn for 25 minutes.
    3. Divide between 4 freezable individual pots and pop in the freezer for a minimum of 2 hours before eating.

    Made it in the food processor with frozen strawberries. Used a little less cream. Ready to eat in minutes. No freezing required.  -  10 Jun 2014
