Firstly peel and core apples and cut into small chunks. Add to a pan with 50ml water, 25g sugar and mixed spice and bring to the boil. Simmer until the apples are soft and slushy. Stir in the raisins and add to the bottom of a baking dish.
Now put the margarine and flour into a bowl and rub the marg in until it's like breadcrumbs. Stir in the 50g sugar, then sprinkle on top of your apples.
Bake in a preheated 180 C / Gas 4 oven until the crumble is golden, about 25 minutes. Serve with custard, cream or ice cream and enjoy!
Adding porridge oats to the crumble mix adds a tasty crunch.
