    Serves: 12

    • 225g melted butter or margarine (Stork® is best)
    • 3 heaped tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 150g caster sugar
    • 300g self-raising flour
    • 4 eggs

    Prep:15min  ›  Cook:25min  ›  Ready in:40min

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Combine the butter, cocoa or chocolate, sugar and half of the flour and stir until smooth.
    3. Add each egg in one at a time, stirring after each addition.
    4. Add the rest of the flour and stir until smooth. It should be thick and rich. Pour the brownie mixture into a deep and square tin.
    5. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until cooked but a bit wobbly on top (that's what makes it soft in the middle).
    6. Take it out the oven and enjoy!

You can use 50g baking chocolate instead of the cocoa powder. If using, melt the chocolate together with the butter.
