Chocolate biscuit truffles

    This is an easy recipe on how to make your own chocolate truffles. It can be given as a gift to someone or even to just enjoy with family and friends. This is a rich dessert which is very smooth and chocolaty. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I did.

    Makes: 30 to 40 truffles

    • 300 to 400g OREO® or bourbon biscuits
    • 200 to 250g plain soft cheese
    • 300 to 500g milk chocolate, melted
    • 100 to 200g white chocolate, melted

    Prep:1hr  ›  Extra time:6hr setting  ›  Ready in:7hr 

    1. Put your biscuits inside a freezer bag but don't put them all in at once. Get your rolling pin and beat the biscuits up till crumbs but don't use an electric processor or the biscuits start to form together and you want crumbs.
    2. Combine the biscuit crumbs with the soft cheese and mix well.
    3. Get a little bit of the biscuit mixture and roll till it forms a little ball. Place on a tray lined with greaseproof paper. Continue the process until you have no mix left and make sure it is laid onto your tray nice and neatly but don't put them too close together.
    4. Put your biscuit balls into the fridge and leave for 1 to 2 hours.
    5. Once the balls have set, take out of the fridge and leave for 10 minutes whilst melting your milk chocolate.
    6. Put cocktail sticks onto all your truffle balls and then coat in melted milk chocolate. Place back on the greaseproof-lined tray. Leave your truffle balls to set for a few hours.
    7. Once your truffle balls are set start melting your white chocolate. Put your white chocolate mixture into a a sealable freezer bag and snip a tiny hole at the end of it.
    8. Take your chocolate truffles out of the fridge and drizzle with the white chocolate. Place back in the fridge till set.
