Mix all the ingredients, except the oil in a bowl. Make sure that the mixture is even and the bread crumbs are mixed well.
Oil your palms and a tray
Make round tikkis that are about 3 inches in diameter and place on the oiled tray.
Heat the oil in a flat pan and fry the tikkis on very low heat, about ten minutes on each side or untill cooked. If you like your food spicy, sprinkle some chaat masala over your tikkis. This should be available at an Indian store.
To serve this as a meal, serve the tikkis with a refreshing cucumber salad and a soft bun. If you are serving them at a dinner party, a tangy mint chutney would be the best accompaniment to get your guests to love the tikkis.
