The enjoyment of chocolate does not get any better than this. This chocolate tiffin builds upon a traditional idea of adding digestives and goes a step further to include Maltesers® and Mars® bars.

- 110g butter, melted
- 4 tablespoons golden syrup
- 225g digestive biscuits, coarsely crushed
- 120g Maltesers®, coarsely crushed
- 4 Mars® bars, melted
- 110g raisins
- 450g plain chocolate, melted

- Line a square baking tin with baking parchment.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter, golden syrup, digestives, Maltesers®, Mars® bars and raisins. Stir well to ensure that all the ingredients are well mixed together.
- Spoon the tiffin mixture into the prepared tin and press down with the back of a spoon to compress. Pour the plain melted chocolate evenly over the top.
- Chill in the fridge for at least three hours, before turning out, slicing and serving.

Firm family favourite.... and requested frequently by friends! I keep the basics of Mars Bars, butter and golden syrup....then add any biscuits and dried fruit (apricots are delicious ) I have available. Always a winner! - 21 Jun 2015
