Easy peasy chocolate chip cookies

    Makes: 20 cookies

    • 100g Butter at room temperature.
    • 50 g sugar
    • 150 g self-raising flour
    • 100 g chocolate chips (you can just chop up 100g chocolate)

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Extra time:30min chilling  ›  Ready in:55min 

    1. Preheat the oven to 170°C (gas 4)
    2. Grease the baking tins if they are not non-stick.
    3. beat butter and sugar until fluffy.
    4. Stir in the flour and chocolate. knead with hands to make a smooth dough.
    5. Divide into even-sized balls. place them apart from each other on the baking tins. For a nice, professional look, flatten them with a fork. This will leave them nice looking and flat.
    6. Cook for 12-15 minutes until nice and brown. Cool them on a wire tray.

    these cookie are amazing i used 45g of sugar if u put 50g this makes the cookies too sweet as they also contain a lot of chocolate  -  04 Nov 2014

    Made nice biscuits but I would say they are more like shortbread than cookies.  -  01 Jun 2015
