Foolproof cornflour cheese sauce

    My family's easy recipe on making AMAZING, quick and cheap cheese sauce, for cauliflower cheese, broccoli cheese and any other recipe with cheese sauce! It doesn't stick or burn as long as you keep on stirring.

    Makes: 1 pint cheese sauce

    • 1 pint milk
    • 4 to 5 tablespoons cornflour
    • 1 block cheese of choice, like Red Leicester, grated

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Pour your desired amount of milk (how much cheese sauce you wish to have) into a cup or jug.
    2. Add 4 to 5 tablespoons of cornflour to the milk and mix till dissolved.
    3. Pour your mixture into a pan and set your hob to medium heat. Keep on stirring! (If you stop it'll go lumpy.)
    4. Wait until your mixture has become more difficult to stir and thickened (should be white). Turn down the heat and start to sprinkle in your grated cheese (it will change colour). Wait till all your cheese has melted into the sauce and stop stirring.
    5. Pour onto your choice of food and enjoy!!


    Don't stop stirring!
