Quick and easy chilli con carne

About this recipe: A favourite of mine for freezing and feeding myself during the week. Serve with boiled rice and some tasty nacho chips.

Serves: 4 

  • 450g (1 lb) good quality mince
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 (400g) tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 (400g) tin kidney beans, drained
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon HP® sauce
  • 1 teaspoon tomato sauce
  • 1 splash Tabasco® sauce

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:35min  ›  Ready in:40min 

  1. Brown the mince and the onion in a large pan. Add all remaining ingredients, stir well and simmer for 30 minutes.


If you wish add a glass of red wine to give it a little kick. Add more chilli powder to taste.
