About this recipe: This is a quick and easy recipe for a chocolate calzone and basically a really easy way to make a tasty snack or dessert.

Makes: 1 chocolate and cashew calzone

  • 50ml milk, more for brushing
  • 100g plain flour or self raising flour
  • cashew nuts (optional)
  • Nutella® chocolate spread, to taste

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min 

  1. Mix the milk and the flour to make a dough. Roll out the dough into a 10cm circle.
  2. Place the cashew nuts and chocolate on the dough but leave a 1cm around the edge. Brush milk on the 1cm at the edge. Turn the calzone in half so that it sticks and closes.
  3. Place the calzone on a baking tray and brush milk on top of the calzone to make a smooth glaze.
  4. Turn the oven on to 220 C / Gas 7. It is important that you don't preheat it because the calzone will get burnt on the inside.
  5. Bake in the oven until golden brown.


If the flour and milk aren't enough add more until you can make a good dough.
