    About this recipe: Did unexpected guests just arrive? Then this pâté is for you and you will probably have the ingredients in your pantry already. This is a fish pâté made with sardines, anchovies and tuna - just perfect on crispbread or toast. Serve with some lemon slices and cornichons.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 1 tin sardines, drained
    • 1 tin anchovies, drained
    • 1 tin tuna, drained
    • 200g butter
    • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
    • juice of 1 lemon
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    • lemon slices, to garnish

    Method
    Prep:20min  ›  Extra time:30min chilling  ›  Ready in:50min 

    1. Combine the sardines, anchovies and tuna into a food processor and blend until smooth. Add all of the other ingredients, except the lemon slices, and continue to blend until smooth.
    2. Turn out the pâté into a terrine, or individual ramekin dishes, and chill for at least 30 minutes. Serve with a slice of lemon.
