Hotdog sweet and sour

    This hotdog sweet and sour recipe is cheap and quick. Cupboard got a bit dry between shops so I improvised. Serve over rice.

    • 4 hotdog sausages
    • oil for cooking
    • 1/2 onion, diced
    • handful beansprouts
    • 1/2 jar sweet and sour sauce
    • 1 teaspoon Chinese 5 spice

    1. Cut the hotdogs into little 1cm rounds and fry with a little oil in a nonstick pan with the onion and beansprouts. Cook for about 5 mins on a medium heat or until the beansprouts and onions are soft. Add the 1/2 jar of sweet and sour sauce and Chinese 5 spice. Warm the whole thing up until slightly bubbling.


    This recipe uses 4 hotdog sausages from a jar, but other hotdogs would work fine.
    The beansprouts and onion are optional.
