About this recipe:
Easy flapjacks to make by yourself or with the family. Makes eight flapjacks. These would make the perfect addition to a packed lunch.
Makes: 8 flapjacks
75g sunflower margarine
75g demerara sugar
2 tablespoons (30ml) golden syrup
125g porridge oats (not instant or jumbo)
- Preheat oven to 180 C / 160 C Fan / Gas 4. Grease the sides of an 18cm sandwich tin and line the base with parchment.
- Melt the margarine, sugar and syrup in a saucepan. Remove from the heat and stir in the oats. Press into the prepared tin.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes until firm. Cut into 8 pieces and leave in the tin to cool, before eating.
