Stuffing balls

    These lovely little stuffing balls are incredibly basic and perfect for any roast dinner, even Christmas. Feel free to liven them up with sausage meat, dried cranberries or apricots, wrap them in bacon or whatever else might take your fancy.

    Serves: 8 

    • 110g fine breadcrumbs
    • 50g suet
    • 2 to 4 tablespoons milk
    • 1 egg
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
    • chopped fresh sage, to taste
    • chopped fresh parsley, to taste
    • salt and pepper, to taste

    1. Preheat the oven to 220 C / Gas 7. Grease a baking tray.
    2. In a bowl, combine all of the ingredients and mix well. Form into golf-ball sized balls and place on to the prepared baking tray.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until crispy. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
