Sesame and sunflower seed flapjacks

    These sesame and sunflower seed flapjacks are a really nice change to regular old flapjacks. Great for afternoon tea or picnics.

    Serves: 8 

    • 125g butter
    • 55g soft brown sugar
    • 55g golden syrup
    • 110g rolled oats
    • 55g sesame seeds
    • 55g sunflower seeds

    1. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease and line a baking tin.
    2. In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the brown sugar and the golden syrup. Remove from the heat and stir in the oats and seeds. Transfer the flapjack mixture to the prepared baking tin.
    3. Bake in the oven for 20 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven, mark into squares and allow to cool. Cut into squares and serve.

    This recipe is super easy and doesn’t take too long to make. The only reason I put 4 instead of 5 is because it doesn’t offer a fan oven temperature. Otherwise this was great and tasted amazing 😀  -  28 Apr 2018
