About this recipe: Simple yet delicious. Cheap yet nutritious. I could eat this everyday.

Serves: 6 

  • 400g dried lentils
  • 1L water
  • 500g tomato passsa
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 4 to 8 sticks celery, chopped, with leaves
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 12 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • hard boiled eggs (optional)

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:1hr15min  ›  Ready in:1hr25min 

  1. Boil lentils in water. Simmer. Add tomatoes, onions, celery. Simmer for 30 minutes, add spices and garlic. Simmer for 15 to 30 more minutes, till lentils are soft. Serve with sliced hard boiled egg, if liked.
