400g dried lentils
1L water
500g tomato passsa
1 small onion, chopped
4 to 8 sticks celery, chopped, with leaves
2 teaspoons curry powder
12 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
hard boiled eggs (optional)

Boil lentils in water. Simmer. Add tomatoes, onions, celery. Simmer for 30 minutes, add spices and garlic. Simmer for 15 to 30 more minutes, till lentils are soft. Serve with sliced hard boiled egg, if liked.
