Oregano infused olive oil

    This lovely oregano infused olive oil is so easy to make and great to have on hand for Italian pasta dishes. Use fresh oregano and good quality olive oil for best results.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 600ml bottle oregano oil

    • 600ml quality olive oil
    • 1 good handful fresh oregano

    Method

    1. Wash the oregano well then dry thoroughly. Gently heat the olive oil in a saucepan over a low heat for a few minutes to warm.
    2. Place the oregano inside a sterilised bottle and using a funnel, pour over the warmed olive oil and seal immediately.

    Tip

    Store in a cool dark place, and then once opened store in the fridge. The oil should last for a few months.
