Creole-style chicken and prawn gumbo

From the Deep South of the USA comes this piquant gumbo with rice, chicken, prawns and vegetables, a cross between a soup and a stew – a filling feast in a bowl. The sliced okra not only contributes towards your five-a-day, but gives the gumbo its traditional thickened texture.

Used different ingredients. I used thick sausages instead of chorizo.

Delicious, and as someone has already mentioned, enough for 6. That's fine, though, even nicer the following day, without any effort except to warm it through.

This was my first time trying to make gumbo after loving it in restaurants. This recipe was delicious. I left out the prawns because I don't like them. I felt that there was a lot more than 4 portions here. I would say that this recipe serves 6.
