Cuban Heaven's Delight Flan (Tocino del Cielo)

  • 12 egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 Goya Dulce de Leche (Available through Cuban Cuisine Uk)


  1. divide the caramel in half and set half aside. Divide the remaining dulce de leche into 6 ramekins.
  2. beat together the egg yolks, vanilla and sugar. Mix in the remaining dulce de leche until well mixed. Pour into ramekins, distributing evenly.
  3. Place ramekins in a Bano Maria or baking pan with water. Bake 45 minutes or until the centre of each tocino is firm to the touch.


To remove tocino from ramekins, run a knife around the edges and then flip on to dessert place and serve immediately......It is called heaven's delight for a reason. Get your dulce de leche from Cuban Cuisine UK!
