About this recipe: This is a no fuss tagliatelle carbonara recipe, perfect for a simple supper. Serve with some bread on the side.


Serves: 2 

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 200g smoked streaky bacon, rind removed and chopped
  • 500g fresh tagliatelle
  • 250ml double cream
  • 150g grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt and pepper, to taste

  1. Warm the oil in a frying pan over a medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until it browns evenly.
  2. Meanwhile, bring a saucepan of salted water to the boil and add the pasta. Cook until al dente or according to the instructions on the packet. Drain.
  3. Add the bacon to the pasta and toss together with the remaining ingredients. Warm through and serve immediately.
