    This plain and simple icing is truly the best. It creates a smooth finish for sponge cakes, cupcakes, biscuits and finger buns.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 125 g icing

    • 125g sieved icing sugar
    • 1 tablespoon warm water

    Method

    1. Sift icing sugar into a bowl. Gradually add warm water, whisking, until the icing becomes thick enough to coat the back of the spoon. If necessary, add more water (a drop at a time) or icing sugar to adjust the consistency.
