Easy chocolate mousse

    Chocolate mousse does not get easier than this! With only three ingredients, this mousse is foolproof.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 6 

    • 4 large eggs, separated
    • 250g plain chocolate, melted
    • 2 tablespoons grated white chocolate

    Method
    Prep:7min  ›  Extra time:1hr setting  ›  Ready in:1hr7min 

    1. In a bowl, whisk the egg yolks until pale and creamy, gradually adding in the melted chocolate. In a separate bowl whisk the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold into the chocolate. Divide between 6 ramekin dishes and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour until set.

    Tip

    Place the mousse in the freezer to speed up the setting process.

    Was very easy, only problem is when you're beating the egg whites by hand you get an arm ache!! lol! awsome results though, even my hubby liked it.  -  26 Jan 2014

    Though an easy recipe, I would definately whisk the whites first, took forever!! Also I let it chill for 2 days (though testing it as it went on) and the longer spent in the fridge, the tastier it became!  -  21 Jun 2016
