Vix's easy chocolate truffles

    Ideal as party sweet nibbles or as gifts. These are deliciously creamy and very popular and extremely easy to make

    Makes: 30 truffles

    • 397g tin condensed milk
    • 200g dark chocolate, chopped
    • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • cocoa powder and icing sugar for coating

    1. Melt chocolate in microwave using 30-second increments, stirring between each. You should only need to do this twice.
    2. Add the milk and oil and mix till smooth. Allow to set in fridge for four hours or overnight.
    3. Use a tablespoon to scoop out each portion and roll into balls.
    4. Mix equal amounts of cocoa powder and icing sugar in a bowl. Roll the truffles in the mixture. Leave to set in fridge for 2 hours.


    We made large truffles and the recipe made 30 but can go further if made smaller. I have done this to decorate a cheesecake. Fun for kids to make, too.

    Delicious. I made them for my neighbous for Christmas as I had just moved. Making more to freeze. Went down very well with everyone :-) Rolled mine in coconut  -  17 Jan 2015
