About this recipe: The three Ps are for pesto, peas and pasta. This recipe is perfect for a buffet and get together with friends. You can increase quantities easily according to party size.

Serves: 4 

  • 300g pasta
  • 1 bunch spring onions
  • 1 tin black olives, drained
  • 2 handfuls frozen peas
  • 1 small jar pesto, as needed
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt and black pepper, to taste
  • chopped fresh basil, to taste

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:12min  ›  Ready in:22min 

  1. Cook pasta as instructed on the packet.
  2. Chop spring onions and black olives very fine.
  3. Add the peas to the pasta when a couple of minutes of cooking time is remaining.
  4. Drain the pasta and peas completely. Whilst still warm cover completely with olive oil and salt and pepper. Add the spring onions and basil, and gradually add the pesto spoon by spoon (not too much as it can over power).
  5. Finally tear more basil up to garnish, and serve!


Can be made the night before.
