About this recipe: A hit with everyone I've served them to! These cheeseburgers have the cheese inside the burger mixture. You can opt to add extra cheese on top, if wished.

Serves: 4 

  • 450g minced beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried mixed herbs
  • 100g grated cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic granules

Prep:10min  ›  Cook:16min  ›  Extra time:30min chilling  ›  Ready in:56min 

  1. Put everything in a bowl and mix together well, with your hands.
  2. Shape into four burgers and chill for about 30 minutes.
  3. Heat a dry frying pan over medium high heat. Add burgers and cook for about 8 minutes on each side, or till cooked to your liking.
  4. Enjoy!


These can also be cooked on the BBQ, but freeze them first.
