Simple macaroni cheese with bacon

    Macaroni cheese but done a little differently. Just three simple ingredients needed for this comfort food favourite.

    Serves: 3 

    • 6 rashers bacon
    • 1 block cheese, grated
    • 500g macaroni

    1. Cut bacon up into smallish pieces. Try to use all the bacon even if you think you have enough as it shrinks as you cook it.
    2. Put the bacon in a wok or pan and cook at the lowest flame on your cooker.
    3. Fill a saucepan with water put it on a medium to high flame and wait for it to boil.
    4. Grate as much cheese as you need but the more cheese the more flavour, so bear this in mind.
    5. Once the water has boiled add your macaroni and cook according to the instructions on the packet.
    6. When the macaroni finishes cooking drain it and put it back in the saucepan. Quickly take the cheese you grated earlier and put in on the macaroni. Stir well till the cheese melts, over a low heat.
    7. And finally add the bacon and stir until it is all evenly mixed in, then serve.
