    About this recipe: This is a very cheap and easy fish pie. Serve with peas and parsley sauce and with nice crusty bread.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 1 handful cauliflower florets
    • 4 spring onions, chopped
    • butter or oil, as needed
    • 2 pieces cheap whitefish
    • 1 small piece cod
    • 1 small handful cooked prawns
    • 4 crab sticks or seafood sticks, chopped
    • 1 small jar of well washed and drained cockles (optional)
    • 1 handful fresh parsley
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
    • 250g Morrisons® fish pie sauce
    • 1 pinch chilli powder
    • 6 medium potatoes
    • 2 teaspooons garlic butter

    Method
    Prep:30min  ›  Cook:50min  ›  Ready in:1hr20min 

    1. Boil the cauliflower in a little salted water. When soft remove from heat and drain.
    2. Fry spring onions until soft in a little butter or oil, then add to a medium oven dish with the cauliflower.
    3. Boil fish in a little salted water 10 minutes, or until soft and flaky. Remove, let cool and then remove any skin.
    4. Sprinkle prawns over the cauliflower and spring onions, followed by seafood sticks, some of the fresh parsley and black pepper. Add cockles, if using. Place flaked cod and whitefish over top.
    5. Pour over the packet of Morrisons® fish pie sauce and add little more fresh parsley. Sprinkle a little chilli powder on top.
    6. Boil the potatoes until soft. Drain well and mash with garlic butter and black pepper to taste. Place mash evenly over fish in baking dish.
    7. Place in a preheated 190 C / Gas 5 oven for 40 to 50 minutes or till mash is nice and brown.

    Tip

    A nice glass of homemade elderflower wine chilled goes well with this dish. Serve with peas with crusty bread.
