    About this recipe: Mint and lamb paired up yet again, this time in a juicy burger! I prefer flavourful lamb burgers over any other kind, and I love the fresh mint in these. You can use dried mint in a pinch.

    Makes: 4 minted lamb burgers

    • 500g lamb mince
    • 1/2 red onion, grated
    • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh mint
    • 1 to 2 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
    • salt and black pepper, to taste
    • olive oil

    1. Mix together minced lamb, onion, mint, garlic, oregano and season generously. Divide the mixture into fourths and shape into burger patties. Brush each side with olive oil.
    2. Grill under a high heat, or cook on the barbecue, for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown, turning once.


    Grating the onion helps to keep the burgers moist.
