About this recipe: Flavour your stocks, stews and more with a sachet d'épices, literally a 'bag of spices'. Neatly bundled in a piece of muslin, your herbs and spices will flavour dishes without any fuss!

Makes: 1 sachet d'épices

  • 1 bay leaf
  • 3 to 4 dill fronds
  • 1 small bunch parsley stems
  • 10 black peppercorns
  • 1 whole clove

  1. Lay out a piece of muslin on your work surface. Lay the herbs and spices in the centre, then gather the edges together to form a small sachet. Tie securely with kitchen string and use immediately in your recipe.
