    • 120g plain flour
    • 120g butter
    • 60g caster sugar

    1. Preheat the oven to 150 C / Gas 2.
    2. Mix the flour and the butter together until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
    3. Add the sugar, ginger and the cinnamon and mix until a stiff dough forms.
    4. Sprinkle some flour onto a board and roll out the dough. Cut the dough into shapes then place on a greaseproof tray.
    5. Bake for 10 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven until golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool before serving.

If the dough is too dry add more butter (or a splash of milk) to bind. If the mixture becomes too wet add some more flour.

I don't get this recipe. How can you add the same amount of flour and butter and expect breadcrumbs? Unless you are mixing it in a freezer of course. Then you add the other dry ingredients and it is supposed to make a dough! Perhaps this one is too advanced for me.  -  13 Dec 2015

Absolutely delicious! I made this in a processor; next time, I'll put a bit more flour in, then whizz the dry ingredients together before adding the butter. There will definitely be a next time!  -  08 Sep 2015
