This chocolate chip loaf cake recipe is a keeper and has been in our family for years. This recipe makes one large moist loaf cake, so just perfect for feeding about ten of your friends and family members.
Dust the chocolate chips in flour before adding to the cake mixture as this will help prevent them sinking to the bottom.
I wanted to make an orange chocolate cake, so added grated orange rind to mixture and used Terry's chocolate orange for the choc chips. I coated them in flour as suggested and they did not sink. Also iced with plain choc ganache and orange matchmakers. Very nice, not too sweet, moist, keeps well. - 30 May 2015
Great cake. Moist, very tasty. Recipe was easy to follow and cake was delicious. I used plain chocolate chips to bring out the chocolate flavour so did not add any icing or topping as this would have detracted from the lovely taste of the cake. - 25 Jun 2017
