This is a family favourite pizza dough - quick and simple to make. It rises beautifully and goes crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside when baking! I use a mixture of wholemeal and white flour, but all white or all wholemeal works as well. It makes lovely garlic bread too, when topped with garlic butter! The quantities below make enough for a medium base on a standard baking tray.
Even though I use instant yeast, I find that the dough still rises best when the yeast is added to sugar water first.
