Green tea oat biscuits

    This is an oat biscuit recipe with a green tea flavour to it. Totally delectable, with a crisp sugar top.

    Makes: 1 dozen biscuits

    • 100g butter, softened
    • 100g sugar
    • 1 green tea bag, ripped open, contents to go in to biscuit
    • 150g oats
    • 200g plain flour
    • extra sugar to sprinkle

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    2. Cream sugar and butter together till smooth and creamy. Mix in the green tea leaves.
    3. Then mix in the flour and oats a bit at a time so that it does not become too dry.
    4. Put the mixture in to a greased cupcake tin as if making cupcakes (no cupcake cases), filling each hole about 1cm high. Sprinkle some sugar on top of the mixture.
    5. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden brown around edges.
    6. Try and take out of tin before they cool with palette knife.
