Extra special bread rolls

I've made these for awhile now, since I was little. They don't last more than a day as people are always coming back for more everytime I bake them. People have been asking for the recipe but it is really simple and a great idea for picnic's or trips etc. I would test the life of these but my husband and our friends always find the hiding places and eat them before I can find out. I make both kinds, the meaty ones and the cheesy garlic ones.

    1 person made this

    • Bread roll dough
    • 500g Cheese (I used mild you can use whatever you prefer)
    • 100g Choritzo
    • 100g Pepperoni
    • 120g Garlic butter
    • 2 packs of back bacon

    1. Half cook your bacon so it's still supple, cut a chunk of cheese off the block.
    2. Make a dip in the bread roll dough.
    3. Put down the bacon and wrap the cheese in the choritzo, pepperoni before wrapping it in bacon. Can also add some garlic butter to it or make a cheesy garlic bread roll.
    4. Put the wrapped up cheese in the dip of the bread and seal it up, round it up so it looks like a normal bread roll. Or place the cheese and garlic butter inside and do the same thing.
    5. Oil the tray and place the rolls on the tray and brush on a light layer of either oil or milk and bake at 180c in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until brown and make the hollow noise when tapped.
    6. Leave to cool for 5-10 minutes and then they are ready to eat and enjoy.
