Smooth Chocolate Fudge

A rich, dark chocolate fudge to melt in your mouth.

    1 person made this

    • 2oz Butter
    • 2 tablespoons dark cocoa powder
    • 320ml milk
    • 200g sugar
    • Vanilla Essence

    1. Make sure that first of all you butter/grease a tin that will be large enough for the fudge.
    2. Put all the ingredients into a pot of sorts and leave on a medium heat, consistently stirring.
    3. When it comes to making fudge, it does take a very long time to heat it so the thickness is just right. You can make sure that fudge is ready by dropping the tiniest amount into a cup of cold water. If it forms a firm-soft ball you can roll with your fingers, the fudge is ready.
    4. Turn off heat and continue stirring until it cools down.
    5. Pour into buttered/greased tin and leave to cool.
    6. Enjoy!

    - If you fancy something more exciting, you can always add things like a tbls of peanut butter, a handful of walnuts, etc... it's up to you to get creative and twist the recipe into what suits you best! - The first time me and my boyfriend made it, we added too much milk and it ended up making a 'wet' kind of chocolate sauce (one that was too thick for pouring over anything, but it did taste delicious (and just like chocolate brownie!) and we used it to dip our biscuits in. So if it doesn't turn out perfect first time, just remember you can do many other things with it!
