Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6. In the base of a round baking tin add 3 tablespoons of beef dripping.
In a saucepan over a high heat, bring the milk and butter to the boil. Once boiling, add the flour, salt and pepper into the saucepan. Allow the milk to boil over the flour then whisk gently. Remove from the heat and allow to cool some, then whisk in the eggs to make a batter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until risen and golden brown. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
