Fishermans bisque soup

    creamy seafood soup. looking at the ingredients it does look and sound hard but to your surprize it is very simple just chuck it in a saucepan and blend it. 4simple steps there are to this recipe!!

    • 2tbsp sunflower oil
    • 2 potatoes, peeled and chopped
    • 1 onion peeled and chopped
    • 2 tomatoes halved
    • 2 cloves garllic peeled and chopped
    • 600ml vegetable or fish stock
    • 300ml milk
    • 225g shelled shrimps or prawns


    1. Heat the oil in a heavy based saucepan, add the potatoes, onion and tomatoes and sauté for 10 mins
    2. Add the garlic, stock, milk and shrimps or prawns and bring to the boil. cover and simmer gently for 20 mins.
    3. Cool slightly, then blend in the liquidiser in batches if necessary, until the soup is smooth.
    4. Season with salt and pepper, the return to the pan and reheat gently.


    serves 4
