About this recipe: If you want to feel healthier and eat more broccoli, this breakfast is simply delicious and so, so good for you. Broccoli are about 40% protein.

  • 1 head broccoli, cut into equal sized florets
  • olive oil, to taste
  • rock salt, to taste
  • lemon juice, to taste
  • sunflower seeds (optional)

  1. Steam the broccoli in a steamer over a medium-high heat until it is slightly tender but not mushy, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Transfer to a bowl and add the olive oil, rock salt and lemon juice to taste. Add the sunflower seeds if you wish. Toss and serve. Enjoy a vegetarian, all natural, nutritious breakfast, that did not come from a box.

Steaming broccoli

It is important you steam it and not boil it in water. This way, the broccoli retains much more of its nutrients.
